Sledmere C of E Primary School took part in the Day for Change 2008 by having an Indian Day. Mrs Singh and Lakhy from Gvants Lakh Kushia visited the school from the Asia Resource Centre to talk to the children about the wide range of Indian cultures and religions and they had a fun packed day which included dancing, drumming, wearing Indian costumes and henna painting . Ellie Girling from Action Aid also visited the school to talk to the children about life in Indian villages.
